Hi Ron, I really enjoy this clone. When I thought of one button game I immediately thought of button mashing, but I very much appreciate this take where the entire game involves a singular button press (minus the title). Your art looks really good and I love the tension you were able to create. I think you could’ve made the lawman’s text more center stage, but I also like the fact it isn’t, because it obscures the exact kind of game it is. When I opened this I thought it was going to be a twitch reflex challenge to draw and shoot but was pleasantly surprised to have that assumption challenge and get to play with this talkative lawman with no bite behind their bark. I think changing the text to be more center screen would help clue me in to the subversion you’ve made here, and I don’t know if that is something you want or not. If you leave the text small and to the side though, I would put it in a stylized word bubble or something so it has a more contrasting background to it. Thanks for sharing your game!

Ronojoy! Good job man! I love the music and atmosphere of the game. The character designs and the sprites are really well done as well! If we had more time I think it would have been cool if the talkative guy had a -- or even a couple -- dramatic "oh no I've been shot" kind of lines to really drive home the point that this guy is there purely for the talk. It might even be funny if you could shoot again and he still doesn't shut up. One problem I did find was that you could "shoot" multiple times if you press space a lot, which makes it sound like Rhonny Ringo is wielding a tommy gun. Overall though, great work! Love the Rusty Spoon Saloon.

This is freakin hilarious I love it Ron! The art and filters bring this to a whole new level.
One thing I would say is to start the music sooner, and make the dialogue a bit quicker. Maybe even make the dialogue bigger, and more center, because its a really important component of the whole game. It took me a second to realize the dialogue was changing and stuff.

Great work man!

Hi Ron! I love the extended, lingering dialogue - it builds so much tension! The first time I played, I didn’t realize there was dialogue coming and pressed space and shot right away and I was like, is that it?? I think that long pause at the beginning before he speaks can be very easily construed as waiting for the player to take an action (and in this case, the only action could be the space bar). Once I actually figured out what was up though I thought it was really cool!

I would have really liked it if he shot after the end of that super long-winded little diatribe, he would actually shoot though (or run away?). It feels sorta strange that the only outcome is you shooting him and once he’s done talking he just sits there and waits for you to do it. A little nit-picky thing - after you shoot, it feels weird that you can keep pressing space to make the shooting sound but no bullets come out. I feel like it would make more sense to just not be able to shoot at all, and also being able to shoot once seems like it would add to the drama you’ve got going on.

Omg Ron I love this so much because of how much it focuses on the tension of taking the shot. I also like the art and the post processing grain effect you going on there.

I'm surprised that the other dude was talking a lot of crap for someone and didn't even shoot back, which is honestly my only real critique for this. I feel like he should've been able to shoot you if you waited too long since he apparently killed Rohnny Ringo's dad, so he must know how to handle a shoot out unless he's bluffing. I feel like it would've also been interesting to have him have a dying line when you shoot him because he doesn't seem to like to shut up and it would add onto how dramatic/somewhat comical in a way this feels.

Besides all that I really like what you did with this. Good job dude!
